Upgraded to WordPress 3.04, widgets not working

    Hi all,

    I upgraded from 3.03 to 3.04 after which my sidebar widgets stopped working as in I am unable to edit these widgets. Even when I click on them, they are not editable. The widgets do show the html that was entered in them before the upgrade but I am unable to edit. Also, I am unable to set a featured image in my posts after the upgrade. Can it be because my current theme (gabfire themes) does not support 3.04? My site url is http://www.choiceopinion.com

    Can someone please help?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    No, I haven’t tried deactivating plugins. I have so many plugins, it will be a pain deactivating them and re-activating them. But I guess I’ll have to give it a shot if nothing else is available.

    Thanks for your suggestions esmi, I will try some of these and get back to you’ll on how it goes.

    I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugins one by one but my widgets still don’t work.

    Can someone let me know how I can downgrade to last wordpress version (from 3.04 to 3.03)?

    I to have the same problem…if I put any widget, like an HTML into the sidebar, the widget automatically closes before I can add any HTML to it.

    THis is the case for all my widgets, they all close up before I can edit them.

    This is has to be a bug in 3.0.4 as the previous version gave me no trouble.

    Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to fix it?
