• Being a bit of a newbie on WordPress, is anyone open to possibly help me with my WordPress Blog?

In a nutshell; I tried to upgrade my blog to wordpress 2.6. In doing so it did something odd with my passwords and wouldn’t let me log in. I tried both the ‘lost password’ emailed route, and your tutorial on changing it in the database with myPHPadmin – sadly neither worked.

I eventually backed up my blog (on Frontpage), and my database and then unistalled WordPress (rightly or wrongly) thinking I could re-install and reload my data, themes, posts, etc but I’m obviously doing something wrong because I can’t get it up ‘n running …a polite request to anyone who could help, please! :o)

    Kind regards, Steve

Many thanks but I did that and sadly that wasn’t the issue BUT I’ve sorted it! :o)) …the issue appeared to be in the WP-Config.php file – I left DB name as ‘local host’ but it ddidn’t like that so changed it to my exact DB server name & bingo! …my blog has come home to Daddy.

I appreciate the help though, thanks.
