• My site
    http://www.viproductions.net/myproject/wp-admin/

    Now displays
    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'FileOperationException' with message '/home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/w3tc-config/master.php could not be created, please run following command:

chmod 777 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/cache/tmp

chmod 777 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/w3tc-config
' in /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/functions/activation.php:127 Stack trace: #0 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/ConfigWriter.php(159): w3_throw_on_write_error('/home/vip/publi...', Array) #1 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/Config.php(71): W3_ConfigWriter->save() #2 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/CloudFlare.php(174): W3_Config->save() #3 /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/Plugin/CloudFlare.php(52): in /home/vip/public_html/myproject/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/functions/activation.php on line 127

    The main part of the site is working, but the admin is not. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

    Please!

    Sean

  • Essentially the same problem here. Since upgrading my WordPress.org dashboard is completely inaccessible (I simply get the below error message when I try to access any page), but my site (www.darkoptimism.org) is functional.

    Since I can’t access the dashboard I can’t even rollback. Should I perhaps just delete W3 Total Cache via FTP?

    Error message for me is:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'FileOperationException' with message '/home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/w3tc-config/master.php could not be created, please run following command:

chmod 777 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/cache/tmp

chmod 777 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/w3tc-config
' in /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/functions/activation.php:127 Stack trace: #0 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/ConfigWriter.php(159): w3_throw_on_write_error('/home/schamberl...', Array) #1 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/Config.php(71): W3_ConfigWriter->save() #2 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/CloudFlare.php(174): W3_Config->save() #3 /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp- in /home/schamberlin/beta.darkoptimism.org/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/functions/activation.php on line 127
