I just updating my testing server to v5.3 and our [recurring] events are now gone. We have no menu option to see ‘Events’ or ‘Recurring Events’. When I click ‘Events’, it loads the Settings page. The interesting thing is that we still see the recurring events on our test site, so we know they exist. Any idea what went awry, or more importantly, how to fix it?

Please note that we are also running version 0.5 of WP FullCalendar.

    Thanks,

  • Can I know what was your Events Manager version prior to v5.3 upgrade? and have you tried to temporarily deactivate all plugins except EM? and have you tried to upgrade to the latest version of WP FullCalendar?

    Hi Ansel,

From the sounds of it, your capabilities were overwritten/reset by something, most likely another plugin you may have updated or worked with.

Have you tried checking your user capabilities in the EM settings page and re-saving?

I highly doubt your events will have been deleted, you’re just not seeing the pages due to permission issues.

@agelonwl – we updated Events Manager from the last-latest version. We keep it up to date. WP FullCalendar on the other hand, we have some custom programming baked into an older version (0.5, current is 0.7).

@marcus – I reset the plugin and normality has been restored. I remember looking at the User Capabilities section last week but I nearly certain I didn’t edit any of the Admin capabilities… that would just be silly. 🙂

Anyway, looks like our hiccup has cleared and I thank you both for your replies!
