I am using an older version of wordpress (I was scared to upgrade because I didn’t want to muck up my mqtranslate) I think it is like 4.2, but can’t check because I am locked out of my website after installing qtranslatex.

I then followed the instructions for installing qtranslate-x and browsed the page to see what it looked like. I ended up being defaulted to spanish only pages and cound’t see the english pages. So I logged out of the admin to see what it looked like for my regular visitors and I havn’t been able to get back in to my admin panel, http://amphibianrescue.org/admin gives the error message.

“This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help.”

I did find a 40-odd post back and forth about this topic on support forums, but I wasn’t tech savvy enough to follow what was going on, nor did there seem to be a solution.

My skills-set will enable me to simply restore from my backup using FTP, but this will take a long time and won’t necessarily solve the problem, because eventually mqtranslate will just stop working with one of the wordpress upgrades. If there is a simple solution I’d be grateful for instructions.

Yes I cleared the browser cache and cookies, tried diff machine, browser etc. I tried diff /wp-admin /es/admin etc configurations and couldn’t find a login page.

The only setting I selected that was not default (before being locked out of my website) was to select a box that said something to the effect of “detect browser language settings and offer the correct language….”
