• Can’t get the exit box to show up after deactivating the ‘Exit box lite’ Plugin

    Background
    1. Exit box lite was installed
    2. Exit box lite worked fine
    3. Deactivated the exit box lite plugin
    4. Bought the WordPress Exit Box
    5. Uploaded the source via FTP
    6. Activated the Plugin in the WordPress backend
    7. Left the plugins default settings as they were
    8. Clicking on an external link redirects to the external links page. So the Exit box does not get triggered any more. No JS errors, no other indicating erros as if the plugin would not be activated.

Deactivating the plugin and activating the previously working exit box lite plugin does not work either any more.

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks

It seems that when the Exit box lite plugin was deactivated and the Exit box plugin was activated the following server error ocurred

PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare exitboxes() (previously declared in /data/stage/menarini/corporate-au-stage/www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-exit-box/wordpress-exit-box.php:105)

Nonetheless, after deleting the exit box lite and leaving the activated exit box plugin no further PHP errors occurred but the plugin still does not work.

    Further PHP error:

PHP Warning: DOMDocument::saveHTML() expects exactly 0 parameters, 1 given in /data/stage/menarini/corporate-au-stage/www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-exit-box/wordpress-exit-box.php on line 736,

    Using PHP version 5.3
