• Working on a client website running WP 4.0.1 and the constant-contact-api plugin showed a new version available. I updated and the v3.1.3 install did not activate. I clicked on the Activate link and the plugin activated just fine, but the widget that I had added to the homepage was now gone.I added it. It took a bit of configuration to get it to show, but when it did there was no Submit button.

    Two issues with v3.1.3 that I experienced…

1.) No Submit button – looking at the page source there was a Submit Input, however the size was defined as height:0px width:0px. There was a comment about IE something something.

I did manually change these settings in the source PHP on the website and the button did show then, but after being frustrated for a period of time, I decided that there might be other issues that I didn’t want to deal with.

2.) The form builder had trouble with my selections of colors and formatting. It took several ‘Saves’ to get the settings I wanted to stick. Very frustrating.

I deactivated the plugin and deleted the files on the server. I uploaded the older v2.4.1 to the server and activated, adding the widget again to the homepage and everything works the way that it did.

I didn’t see anyone else posting that they were experiencing this problem, and I didn’t experience things others have reported. The client website is in a staged status right now, but I don’t have time to troubleshoot this plugin.

One more note – I did try this with Firefox, Chrome and IE to make sure that it wasn’t a browser related issue. The results were consistent with all 3 browsers.

Please see the support topic here on how to add the submit button.

Regarding the saving of the settings, can you please share a login with me so I can reproduce the issue? You can send the credentials to: constant-contact-api@katzwebservices.zendesk.com

OK, seriously?! How else does this work if you have to add a submit button?

I will update to v3.1.3 again and see how it works. If I have trouble with saving settings I will send you the credentials as requested with a bit of detail on what I’m experiencing.

This website is not live yet so we can play for a little while…

Thanks for a great wp plugin!!!

In 3.1.4, I made the Submit button appear by default. Otherwise, users could hit Enter to submit the form.

Thanks for hooking me up with credentials when you get a chance.

Check your Email – sent credentials

Remember that these websites are being viewed on mobile devices too and there is no enter key – everything is ‘touch’ so a button is needed.
