[Resolved] upgrade to 2.8.5 crashed site

  • I just tried to upgrade to 2.8.5 on my site http://www.riograndeama.org (useless link now lol) I backed up my site before installing. I then tried to use the automatic upgrade button. The page tried to load for about 30 seconds, then “finished” with a blank page. Assuming the upgrade had just failed I tried to upgrade manually. However, when I tried to connect my FTP to my site, it can’t find any directories. I can’t load my backup to the site, because it essentially won’t let me connect to it (since there are no directories). help please?
    *edit*
I’m a a moron, I tried to go to my webhost to check my ftp access…and the site failed to load. My host was having issues (not wordpress) and thats why I couldn’t connect to anything. I am now upgrading since I have access again
