# Upgrade to 2.6.1: Database error

 * I updated my wordpress to 2.6.1
    I downloaded it , i replaced the files in my
   drive then i uploaded it. the wp-config.php was not modified but. when i visit
   my updated WP it returns…
 * Error establishing a database connection
 * and really dont understand what’s the problem.

 * What worked for me was to use 127.0.0.1 instead of “localhost” for the database
   host name.
