upgrade to 1.5.2 crashes mysql

Hi,
I just tried to upgrade my WP from 1.5 to 1.5.2 and followed the instructions as per the upgrade page.

During the upgrade, the mysql instance crashed. Now, everytime I try to login to the db, it crashes. I’ve tried to restore it and just get a db connection error. Any help?
