    Hi Tigr,

First of all thank you for showing interest in our plugin.

Because of the major database changes we have done in 0.6 to support WordPress Multisite the only viable way was to purge all previous Log entries, hence such behaviour is by design. We also added a note in the Upgrading the plugin in the Release Notes.

I would not recommend you to go back to 0.5.1 but to stay with Version 6 since it is the latest and most advanced version. Future updates that will include more alerts will be working on the database structure of Version 0.6.

While I trust the above gives you a better overview of the situation, do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries and sorry for any inconvenience this update might have caused.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

after upgrading to 0.6 previous entries are gone (no problem with that), except now there are no new events logged at all. I tried to deactivate and activate plugin again but that didn’t help.

Precisely. No new events show up.

    Hi Gents,

As explained in the previous response unfortunately there was no other alternative but to purge the alerts. Though I can assure you this is the last time it happened 🙂

Sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for supporting this project.

I think you do not understand. If I install 0.6 no new events show up. I can for example logout/login and go to the viewer and the event log is as empty as it was. That is the problem. Nothing comes up anymore.

Same problem here. After updating, neither older events show up, nor new ones.

Ah ok that is different. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

To start off with, can you please both confirm that the plugin created the tables in the WordPress database?

    There should be two tables:

    wp_wordpress_auditlog
    wp_wordpress_auditlog_events

P.S. the wp prefix might be different if you use a different prefix on your database.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

No, there are not such tables. There are two tables:

    prefix__wordpress_eventlog
    prefix__wordpress_eventlog_details

    HI Imceptive,

That explains a lot 🙂 It seems that the plugin was unable to delete the old tables and create the new ones. In this case I would recommend the following:

    1. Delete the old tables (wordPress_eventlog and wordpress_eventlog_details)

    2. Uninstall the plugin

    3. Make sure that the database user has privileges to create new tables in the database (if you need more info on this let me know)

    4. Re-install the plugin.

    This should do the trick.

A simple uninstall and re-install of the plugin solves the problem. Thank you.

I am glad you solved it 🙂

Should you have any further queries do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Stay secure!
