# upgrade stalls

 * Hi I have been trying to upgrade to 2.9.2
 * When I select automatic upgrade it does the following
 * > Downloading update from [http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip](http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip).
   > Unpacking the update.
 * then nothing…
 * What do I do?

 * At a guess, it sounds like your host might be running PHP 4 instead of PHP 5.
 * Try adding
 * `AddType x-mapp-php5 .php`
 * to your .htaccess file. With some hosts that’ll fix you up.

 * Pick thisone up again. Mine is doing exactly the same thing, host is running 
   php 5.2.10
 * The upgrade looks as if it is going OK and then just stalls as same as OP
 * Auto upgrades have worked fine until this one – any suggestions?
