Support » Fixing WordPress » Upgrade messed up directories

I just upgraded to 2.01. Before upgrade I had configured WordPress to be in the directory but the index was in thus entering just the basic url would bring up the WordPress page.

After the upgrade would give an error but going to the WordPress directory would show the blog. Links would not work however. Changing the URIs in the General section fixed that, but now I’m stuck with going to the WordPress directory if I want to see the blog…

I have moved index.php to the correct directory and updated it’s content (now showing only “require(‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);”) and rebuilt the permalinks. No go.

Now, for the bombshell, I can’t find .htaccess even if I choose to see hidden files. I’m guessing that’s my problem. What can I do to fix this?

  • Sorry… this was a beyond keyboard error. I messed up restoring the index.php I had backed up and was mucking about with the new one. I humbly apologize for my stupidity!

    Glad you got it sorted….
