# Upgrade Issues

 * I keep getting the following error when I try to upgrade or install widgets etc.
   I have installed WordPress via Fantastico on my webserver.
 * Downloading update from [http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip](http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2.zip).
 * Unpacking the update.
 * Could not copy file: /public_html/blog/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-2.9.2/wordpress/
   wp-comments-post.php
 * Installation Failed
 * I’m using the localhost domain plus my FTP username and password.
 * Any suggestions?

 * I suggest you to go with manual upgrade. For that refer this article:

 * Also assign 755 recursive permissions to your blog folder which may resolve the
   issue.

 * I deleted wp-comments-post.php and retried the automatic upgrade, and that worked
   for me.
