# Upgrade issues

 * I finally upgraded from 3.7.8 to the newest version 3.8.12.1 + gold cart. I had
   upgraded before but it broke everything, so I waited until 3.7.8 would no longer
   work in the most current version on WP.
 * I’m having 3 issues…
    1. The thumbnails are no longer showing on the products
   list view pages. The category thumbnails are showing fine and so are the product
   detail pages, but the the product list view pages. What’s the code I can add 
   to make them show up again? 2. All my prices have disappeared. I have 100’s of
   of products, so the idea of having to re-enter all of them is awful. I did back
   up the database. Is there any way to recover them? 3. My cart will no longer 
   show up widget area like it was. I can only get it to show up on the page which
   I don’t like. I’m happy to add it manually, but not sure what file to add it 
   to?

 * Update…
    I was able to figure out 2 of the issues manually. The only one left(
   and BIG issue) is how to get all my prices back.
 * Anyone have any ideas out there?

 * Hi Charlenes1, there is a very specific way to upgrade from legacy WP e-Commerce
   3.7 releases to the latest 3.8 release. I don’t have this list on me but recommend
   you contact Premium Support at GetShopped.org as I’ve overseen them doing these
   upgrades and they come out shining new with all details intact. Your old WP e-
   Commerce custom tables will still be in the database it just needs someone with
   experience to do the upgrade right, would love to see an official upgrade document
   online someday. Hope this helps.

 * Thanks! I was hoping someone here would have that documentation. I hear it takes
   weeks – sometimes months to get help from them and I don’t have that kind of 
   time. I did look at the premium support page and they want you to send all of
   your passwords too, which I don’t love that idea – especially if they just sit
   on it for weeks.
