    Sweet monkey butter…. It’s really version 1.1.1?

    Here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WPMU

Basically you’ll do a stepped upgrade. Go to 1.1.2 and the hit the major revisions along the way and pray. A lot.

And then when you hit 2.9.2 , you need this:

There’s no way you’ll be able to do this in one go. Not even if it were single WP.

Okay, I’m still thinking about this… how many blogs are in the install?

because seriously, there’s so many version between where you are and the current version, that it may be prudent to export the content and import everything into a new install. If it’s 50 or less, that’s what I’d do.

For sure, you’re going to have to replace a LOT of plugins.
