Upgrade from AlxMedia V2.2.3 to latest on WordPress – problems?

I still love this theme and can’t think of many better ones…
I installed mine from Alxmedia directly, not from the WP theme directory (as I gained the impression that he updated on his own site more frequently). Now that the theme has been passed on to presscustomizr.com I would like to update again!

Before I do: are there any problems I could expect?

I have my own child theme based on 2.2.3 from alx at dare2go.com

I don’t have much online access, I’m traveling full time, so fixing update issues can throw a real spanner into the works.

I recommend first updating your theme to version 2.2.5, no problems here using WordPress 4.4!

Thanks, but that triggers a BIG QUESTION:
how/where could I download version 2.2.5?

The old page of alxmedia.se/themes/hueman (where the download link was located, still in my browser history) redirects to presscustomizr.com!

Oh, and I just read on http://alxmedia.se/2015/12/hueman-finds-a-new-home/ that the current WP version, referred to as ‘Lite’, doesn’t have the option for a header image – which we’re using since day 1!
Last comment, from Nicolas (new developer), posted only on January 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm, states that he’s working on a plug-in to add some of the axlmedia version’s features…

Guess it’s too early to update!

Version 2.2.5 is still available on Github; click the “Download ZIP” button.

Since I currently have internet access (not always a given with my travela) I downloaded the github version and will install ittomorrow.

Re. you forum link: this seems to be pretty much the same statement you made on axlmedia. I’ll be looking forward to the day the plugin is made available!
