I upgraded our blog from 2.0.2 following all the instructions and all went as expected until I went to login.
I found that I did not update the unique phrases in the wp-config.php file.
So they were left untouched during the upgrade.
define(‘AUTH_KEY’, ‘put your unique phrase here’); // Change this to a unique phrase.
define(‘SECURE_AUTH_KEY’, ‘put your unique phrase here’); // Change this to a unique phras
define(‘LOGGED_IN_KEY’, ‘put your unique phrase here’); // Change this to a unique phrase.
I then went and removed the “‘put your unique phrase here'” and left it with “” which did not work. So I remarked out the lines in the config and now the passwords work.
I would like to use the new AUTH_KEY method used in 2.6, but all my passwords need to be updated. I have about 100 users that need to then have their passwords reset. Is there a way to update them all at once using their existing passwords and then migrate them to the new AUTH_KEY method?
