 * The Zip file of the 2.5.1 release has no directory structure. Do I upload the
   files to my current wp/admin directory? It’s been so long since I’ve done an
   upgrade, I’ve forgotten.
 * Thanks!

 * The zip file does have a directory structure, it contains a folder called wordpress,
   with wp-content, wp-admin, and wp-includes folders (and subfolders) as well as
   22 files.

 * That’s the rub. The zip archive currently in place for download has no directory
   structure. All files are located in the root of the zip file.

 * The structure is correct. 3 folders and 22 files, that includes one license.txt
   and one readme.html. I just verified it from a newly downloaded .zip file.
 * [edit]
 * tar.gz file is good too.

 * Go figure. The version of WinZip I am/was using completely ignored the directory
   structure when unzipping.
 * Upgraded WinZip; problem solved.
 * Thanks to both.
