Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Upgrade created issues with feeds and drop downs

  • I upgraded both The Events Calendar to 2.0.11 and community events today and it created issues why my site. The dropdown menus are not functioning properly and the home page sliders and twitter feed are no longer working. When I deactivate the event calendar plugin, the site functions normally.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

  • Hi uceaostaff,

Do you have a URL you can share so I can see the issues?

The URL is I need to keep the plugin deactivated until this is resolved because is homepage is severely affected by the issue. If you can provide me with a time that you would like to take a look, I can reactive the plugin during that time. I just cannot leave it in that state for very long because it looks really bad.

    Thank you

    Hi Erin,

I’ve got a lot going on this afternoon so it might be difficult to coordinate. I’m online now for the next 45 mins or so and then I’ll be available again after about 3-4pm MST.

Thank you. I will reactivate the plugin from 3-4 p.m. MST.

I have reactivated the plugin. As you will see, the homepage slider is stuck between two slides. The featured news and events section slider feed is replaced with the category name “latest from member news” and the twitter feed in the footer is not loading. In addition, the main navigation drop downs are not working correctly.

Thank you for your assistance in helping to resolve this issue.

    Hi uceaostaff,

Your theme is running an out of date version of jQuery 1.4.4 (the latest is 1.9). Please update this and it should resolve the issues.
