# Upgrade Caused Problems!

 * After helping a friend install his own blog, I decided to finally upgrade to 
   version 2.3.1. Afterwards, I realized this was probably a mistake. I can no longer
   get to my blog via my subdomain!
 * My blog is in a subfolder and can still be reached through [http://www.eamann.com/blog](http://www.eamann.com/blog).
   However, I set up the subdomain [http://mindshare.eamann.com](http://mindshare.eamann.com)
   and this is what all the links on my site (and every external link to my site)
   use.
 * When anyone attempts to access [http://mindshare.eamann.com](http://mindshare.eamann.com),
   they are automatically redirected to [http://01eed7e.netsolhost.com](http://01eed7e.netsolhost.com)(
   which is just my service provider’s address for my website).
 * I contacted my service provider, and they tell me everything is working on their
   end. I rolled back to the old version of my blog, and the subdomain now works(
   however, I forgot to back up my database before the upgrade, and now get several
   database errors and sidebar failures).
 * What can I do to fix this problem??? Is there anyone with more experience than
   me who can help?

 * I had to change the Blog URL to mindshare.eamann.com, but leave the WordPress
   URL as a link to the actual directory. Now everything works perfectly!
