# updraftplus/index.html possible defaced

* Hello, I’m using the latest version of UpdraftPlus. I got an alert from hosting
provider saying the following:
Maldet results possible defaced : /wp-content/
plugins/updraftplus/index.html
* The hosting provider runs automatic virus check every day, and I’ve already received
such alerts before, but the strange thing is that on the next day there’re no
alerts (in case of a virus there should be alerts, I think) and it seems to me
that it somehow connected with plugin updates. I mean, yesterday I updated the
plugin and today I got an alert.
* If i run any antivirus software, it doesn’t find anything suspicious. Have you
ever encountered such issue? What could you advise? Thank you

* What’s in that file? HTML files are human-readable. Post a link to the contents,
and I can take a look, if HTML’s not your forte.

* That’s the same as the pristine, unaltered file. So, your antivirus software
is giving you a false-positive.

* Please tell me what is the problems and how to solve it? Why is this a problem
playing?
Why ‘Maldet’ antivirus detected the potentially malicious code and
how to fix this problems?
