UpdraftPlus WordPress Updating Loop

I am trying to update the UpdraftPlus plugin to the latest version. The website is using WordPress 4.5.2. It is hosted on http://www.ipower.com. The site is http://www.lanelibraryfriends.org. This is what happened as best as I recall:
1. When trying to change the settings from sending backups to email to Dropbox, when I hit Save Changes, the changes went into an infinite loop. I had to logout of the WP-ADMIN and the setting changes weren’t saved.
2. When I clicked on Backup Now, the settings were still on Email. I received 2 emails, and then the backup stopped.
3. Then I tried to change the Settings back to email
4. Now when trying to update the version of UpdraftPlus to the latest version, a similar things happened. The version update is looping with message “Updating…” and it hasn’t completed in over 30 minutes.
I really like this plugin. I was trying to add it on a different website, with an older version of WordPress, and the backup didn’t end. But that was a different site and different story.
Please let me know if there is something else I should do or if you need more information.
