This is my first time to use Updraftplus and was sent a request to review so I am…

The interface is really intuitive. I tried it on a local install of WordPress and backed up to my Google Drive – it was easy.

I have not tried to restore anything yet. Hopefully I want have to. I am mainly using this plugin for piece (peace) of mind.

The reason I am using UpdraftPlus is due to the fact that I have been hacked once and, as a result of that, had to move my whole domain to another provider. After several failed attempts to get it back up using a different backup and restore plugin, finally gave up and started over. Another time I ‘mis-used’ a plugin and crashed my site. So, I need something very simple to help out when things go astray.

In the free plugin you get to backup to several different places like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and several other cloud type accounts. It’s free and you don’t have to get the premium plugin to do that. Amazing…

So I checked the backup by going to my Google Drive and I like the naming scheme – everything is separated for me so I can download it to my desktop, i.e, production environment, and tinker with it 🙂

Also, I have recently been studying the best method to backup a WordPress site and from what I’ve read the packages that are uploaded to my Google Drive are in the correct order. Thanks for that UpdraftPlus!

So, in closing, I would like to say thank you for a cool plugin that gives some great options even in free mode ’cause guys like me need that. Seen some of the other plugins you have…might try them as well.

    Cheers!
