UpdraftPlus error on uploading backup files

    Hi Everyone,

    I have a problem with my updraftplus backup on my desktop. When I try to upload my downloaded back-up to my WordPress site it shows “This file does not appear to be an UpdraftPlus backup archive (such files are .zip or .gz files which have a name like: backup_(time)_(site name)_(code)_(type).(zip|gz)). However, UpdraftPlus archives are standard zip/SQL files – so if you are sure that your file has the right format, then you can rename it to match that pattern.” what does this mean? This only happens when I try to upload the database Db file but other than that no problem like themes, uploads, etc. Please help me resolve this issue by the way I am using updraftplus free plugin.

    Can you upload each file one by one and let us know the exact filename that is causing the issue?

    Hi,

    Here’s the exact file “backup_2021-07-14-0810_JahCool_d978f1601e8e-db (1)”.

    And it shows “This file does not appear to be an UpdraftPlus backup archive (such files are .zip or .gz files which have a name like: backup_(time)_(site name)_(code)_(type).(zip|gz)).     backup_2021-07-14-0810_JahCool_d978f1601e8e-db (1)
    > I believe the backup files was downloaded twice as it has the (1). Please remove this part only so it should be backup_2021-07-14-0810_JahCool_d978f1601e8e-db and re-upload.

    Already resolved I changed the file name and removed this (1).
