# UpDraftPlus error

 * I have a brand new install of WordPress. The ONLY plugin I’ve added is UpDraftPlus.
   When I click on it via the dashboard I get the following error:
 * If you can still read these words after the page finishes loading, then there
   is a JavaScript or jQuery problem in the site.
 * Since there is no plugin o cause a conflict, does this mean the problem is with
   UpDraftPlus? How do I fix this? I very new at this.

 * Do you have a custom theme or code any where on your site?
 * Could you try the default theme and see if this resolves it or can you temporarily
   remove your custom code?

 * Hi Ashley,
 * Thank you for answering. I’m running the default WordPress theme Twenty Seventeen.
   All other themes have been deleted.
 * The error remains. I don’t know what to do.

 * Do you have any JavaScript exceptions in the web browser’s JavaScript console?
 * Does the problem go away if you de-activate all extensions in your web browser?(
   Some extensions add JavaScript to the page).
 * Does the page finish loading or does the browser indicate it is still (eternally)
   loading?
