    Hi,

Please could you check with your host/server admin if there are no firewall blocking the connection?

Self-hosted on Digital Ocean. We temporarily disabled all WordPress-side firewalls and got the same results. Nothing in .htaccess file. The other two sites that authenticate Dropbox are hosted the same way with Wordfence firewalls.

This site USED to have a Sucuri WP firewall, which has since been deactivated but not uninstalled.

BUT how would a firewall explain the redirect we are seeing? Where is that redirect coming from? It has to be defined somewhere…

UFW (Ubuntu) is likely active, will investigate. What IP addresses need to be whitelisted?

Update: iptables -L returns an empty list.
    Nothing is being blocked.

The redirect still happens, and I’m unable to authenticate Dropbox on this site, even with all other plugins disabled, even wiping UpdraftPlus settings and starting over.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

The redirection is the most likely cause of the issue.

What URL is the correct one for accessing the site (i.e. with or without ‘www.’)?

That was it. The developer left two defines in the wp_config.php file for WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL. The symptom was that the site url was not editable in WordPress, those options were grayed out. I deleted those defines and reloaded the page, and Dropbox immediately authenticated.

Thank you for helping us resolve this!
