Getting: PHP event: code E_WARNING: Error while sending QUERY packet. Still it renders my site useless to visitors during the day on Thursdays while it’s backing up (its normal backup time) * Maybe it’s inmotionhosting? The I/O is @ 2MB and is usually maxed out when it is backing up. It’s worth reading it all. There are things you can do, but there is a hard limit; if a hosting company doesn’t want people to use their own backup solutions, they always get the last word because they control the final limits.
