# updating WordPress on localhost

 * When click on update it asks for ftp user name and pwd, but site runs on localhost.
 * How can I update please

 * Yes but my WP admin displays the new version as 4.9.5 but the download tar.gz.
   file (for Turkish language) is still 4.9.4 so a manual upgrade can not be done.
 * So I guess this is the responsibility of the WP translators
