# Updating WordPress

 * I know updating the theme will reset any changes I’ve made to the css, but will
   updating wordpress to its newest version do the same? Or can I just update without
   worrying about the theme resetting?

 * Updating wordpress shouldn’t touch any theme files. If your theme is using any
   functionality that was changed between wordpress versions there is the potential
   that some unwanted changes may occur on your site, but that is very unlikely.

 * Oh, and if you set up a child theme, you can keep your changes in CSS and still
   update the theme.
