Updating to 5.3.4 from 5.3.3 failed and removed plugin

    I just attempted to update Wordfence from 5.3.3 to 5.3.4 and the update not only failed but it removed the plugin as well. All previous updates have worked without a hitch so this might be a “one-off” glitch?

    I had to reinstall Wordfence (within the WordPress plugins “Add new” page) which was successful. It kept all my original settings as well.

    Not surprised about the settings. One of the things I love about wordpress is that even if you have to do a remove/re-add of any plugin, the settings, which are stored in the database, are still there. We’ll watch for more reports of this.
