    Hello My name is Martin I currently working with A WordPress theme(Primer) for my client
    Down 7 Up 8 Inc.
    through Go-Daddy, My question is if I update this theme from current version 1.8.0 to 1.8.1 do I need to update current Plugins first which are: or do I update the them then the plugins if so will any format or data be lost from current site on any of the sites pages? http://down7up8inc.org/ Thank you for your guidance.

    Hi @maiix,

    If you upgrade from Primer 1.8.0 to Primer 1.8.1, you don’t necessarily need to update your plugins as well. Those can be done independently, as you see fit. However, it is advised to keep all themes and plugins up to date, when possible.

    You should be able to update both the Primer theme to version 1.8.1 as well as your slider plugin and Ninja Forms without any issues without any data loss. You may want to take a backup of your site before performing any updates, as a pre-caution.
