• Hi everyone,

    I have been trying to update a theme I purchased from ThemeForest and keep getting the error message “The site is experiencing technical difficulties.” I have been using my staging site to do this as I don’t want to mess up my live site. When I try to log into the staging site this message appears “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    The steps I have taken to update the theme are:
    -Going to the Envato market plugin in WordPress
    -Creating a token and pasting it into the plugin
    -Going into Themes & updating the theme through there.

    Does anyone have any tips/ideas on why this is happening and how I could fix it? Is there any easy way to update my theme?

    1-If you feel there is definitely an error with the theme, contact the theme support team at ThemeForest.

    2-If the error might be caused by a plugin conflict, try renaming your Plugins folder using FTP access to deactivate all plugins. See if the error remains.

    3-If you are able to install plugins try the following:
    install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode
    might help narrow down the source of the issue

    Thank you. I will try deactivating my plugins now
