Support » Plugin: Browser Shots » Updating the screenshot, adding a class

First of all, kudos for this amazing plug-in and thank you so much for sharing it with the rest of the world.

In the process of using the plug-in I’m missing two things which are important in my case. I would like to add a class to the image including in the shortcode, making sure it’s gonna be responsive in line with my framework.

Second question I have is as following: Would it possible for me to create some sort of button next to the screenshot which says “Update screenshot” and does so when clicking it?

Again, much thanks for creating this plug-in, hopefully you can provide me some answers too.

Hey There – really pleased to hear you like the app.

Unfortunately there’s no way to make the screenshot refresh. The app is using a third party service for the screenshotting and it has no functionality for arbitrary refreshes. You have to wait for the auto refresh.

For the image class – something there should be possible. Could you give an example of what you’d like to see (a complete html snippet would be ideal).

Thank you for taking the time to reply!

That’s a bummer about the refresh part, but well, it is how it is 🙂

I would like to add a class inside the shortcode directly to the image tag. I temporarily fixed it with an outside div wrapper.

Ideally I would like to add the shortcode like this:

    [browser-shot url="url" width="width" target="_blank" class="uk-responsive-width"]

Hi – I’ve added two new class options for the plugin

The first adds a class to the browsershots wrapper (class).

The seconds adds a class to the image (image_class)

From the sounds of it image_class is the one you will want to use. It’s a bit more typing but I felt class was more suitable for the wrapper than the image itself.

Thanks for the plugin! When is the auto refresh?
I have an RSS feed that has a limited number of refreshes, so I am trying to snapshot
it only twice a day, ideally. That way every user who wants to see the update, can do so without wasting an API key refresh.
