    Hello,

I have TablePress set up to look at a CSV file on the same server as the WordPress installation. However, when I try to update TablePress with up new data (either using the Auto Periodic Import plugin or manually uploading and using the vanilla replace table function), it will always pull an old version of the file.

The only way I can update the table with new data is if I point the plugin to a file with a filename it hasn’t encountered before. However, when I point it back to the original filename (but different content), it ‘reads’ an old version of the file.

This is not only on the output, I can see out-of-date content both in the table edit screen and the TablePress preview.

I have the ‘Turn off Output Caching’ extension installed.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

If TablePress reads an old version of the table, even after temporarily making manual changes, or importing a different file, the CSV file that you are importing from simply only contains the old version. So, I assume that your process of updating/uploading that file on the server is somehow not working properly.

    Hi Tobias,

Looks like the issue was related to the host, not the plugin.

The files were being cached and therefore the plug-in was reading a cached version, not the most up-to-date. I had to ask the host (Flywheel in my case) to exclude these files from their caching technology.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

great to hear that you found the cause! Yes, that sounds like a possible reason here.

    Best wishes,

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
