Support » Plugin: WP Pipes » Updating RSS Feed

  • Hi, I just started using WP Pipes. Before I plan on adding on to the plugin, I need to work out some kinks here.

    1) I am currently limiting the number of items to be fetched from any/all feed sources at 3. I’m doing this so I can go back into my posts and add proper tags, change titles, etc. I have a lot of feeds so this takes time. How can I update the pipe so that it pulls new content—3 posts at a time—so that I don’t have to keep going back into the pipe and refreshing. As a matter of fact, how do I refresh the pipe to even do that?!

    2) When I create a pipe and test it, it automatically publishes. I know that I can set the pipe as a draft, but is there any way to test or preview what the post looks like w/o adding a draft or publishing a post?

    3) When it comes to images, can I import images from a feed according to a pre-set width and height per my default blog settings?

    4) Is there any way (with purchased add-ons or FREE) to automatically add keywords and tags from the content in an article?

That’s it for now. Looking forward to these answers/suggestions.

    Cheers,
    VelosaInk

    Hi Velosalnk,

Thank you for interesting in our plugin!

    1. http://screencast.com/t/d2KfgnISSEq5 –> With this option, you could make your pipe only pulls a specific amount of items from the RSS source. After making sure that your pipes working correctly as what you want, you could set up cronjob and your pipes will run automatically.

    2. Currently, you could only check the result of pipe after it already run. So if you do not want to public the posts from WPPipes, please use draft status: http://screencast.com/t/Ky2GZcUW59g

    3. With current version of WPPipes plugin, Get Image processor do not allow you doing that.

    4. http://screencast.com/t/BbfVJ7QpYA –> If you put a list of keywords into [di] metakey, they will become the tags of grabbed posts.

    Best Regards!
