• Hi Everyone,

I’m experiencing a strange thing with a lab-install of WordPress.

In my case, WordPress is running on Ubuntu 14.04.4 with the regular, up-to-date LAMP stack.
Apache is setup with multiple virtual hosts where each virtual host has its own IP address. In addition, each WordPress site has its own install, logs and database. There is one MySQL instance servicing all databases for these websites.

When doing an update of one or more plugins, the following message is shown:

The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

    Enabling Maintenance mode…
    Updating Plugin <name-of-the-plugin> (1/1)

While the update(s) complete successfully, the screen is not updated.
I have checked the logs (even with debug on) but from all the things in there, I don’t recognize the ones that might be related to this behavior.

This behavior applies to all sites.

Anyone out there that recognizes this?

    Best regards,
    – Will Moonen
