# Updating Plugin

 * Hi. I am a newbie.
 * I tried to update a plugin. the screen asked for:
    Hostname FTP Username FTP 
   Password Connection type.
 * Now I know that the username and password are correct. I just used them to connect
   to the site using dreamweaver. I uploaded the WP files just now. However,for 
   the host name, I put the IP address (64.150.185.75) and the connection type FTP.
   When I clicked “proceed” I got an error. “Failed to connect to FTP Server 64.150.185.71:
   21” What am I doing wrong? Do I need to enter the path after the IP address for
   the host name? I tried that also but it didn’t work either. Please help…
