# Updating issues

 * I am trying to update to wp 4.4 and still unable to do so. plus every time I 
   try to update a plugin I get a request for my ftp log in info (that’s a first).
   OK, so I enter it and the wheel spins round and round, round and round. but nothing
   ever updates. Also on my website I get error messages. The last timme it was 
   related to a php version. but now with php version 5.5, I still get the error
   message.
