Hi, we’d like to build a site where visitors use GravityForms to submit a confidentiality form to get further content about a real estate property. When they submit a confidentiality form, we’d like to add their information into Highrise at the same time using this plugin. The visitor can submit a confidentiality for many different properties which each have their own unique listing number. Is there a way to add the listing number to a previous Highrise entry without overwriting any existing information?

    Thanks for your help!

  • I think I found a solution to this problem. On around line 340, getPersonId is not returning an integer, it is returning an object. It needs to be replaced with something like this:

    http://pastebin.com/JRTixfsT

    to make the comparison work.

Also, if they’re using the same email address that already exists in Highrise, the update won’t work either. You’ll get a “Email test@domainname.com has already been taken” message.

If you want to to override the existing email, you’ll have to replace line 137 with:

    http://pastebin.com/tXYXnKwp

The downside for this quick fix is that you can’t update or add any email addresses if they change it in future form submissions.

I don’t see anything in the Highrise API that says that it shouldn’t update the email address. I’ll send them a note and see what they have to say.

Hi, did you got an answer about the update of an existing contact in Highrise using the same email?
    Thanks,

Something seems to have gone crazy with the plugin as it is randomly merging form enquirers into unique and new client ids! Very strange – Contacted highrise and they believe it is this plugin causing the problem – will have to turn it off for now until I’m sure its fixed!

+1 to the random merging of new inquiries from our contact form on our website to existing (and unrelated) contacts within our Highrise account.

    plugin v. 2.5.1
    Gravity forms v. 1.6.2

I am trying plugin v. 2.5.2 posted by the publisher on this thread:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-gravity-forms-highrise-add-on-gravity-forms-not-sending-data

Hopefully that will fix this issue or the publisher will see this and address it.

As of Version 2.6, there will now be messages attached to each Entry as to what happened and why.

You could also try the other plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/gravity-forms-highrise-crm/
