Hi, I can not update events anymore. If I create one and make a error I can not correct it, I have to make a new one from scratch. Anyone can help?

  • Hi there,

I use TEC for several years and had no issues. This time the Upgrade did do a harm and we have the same problem on several sites.

Tried to downgrade to PHP8.0 but that changes anything. Migration went through fine. Changed memory limit up to 256M – just in case – but nothing helped

Do you have any idea what we can do?

    Thank you!

    Ron

By chance are you using Safari?

Using Ventura and Safari 16.x I am unable to update/edit events as well.

Yes, same problem here (in Safari). I can get in and make the changes, and preview them, but clicking on either of the Update buttons (bottom right, top right) does nothing.

I tried it in Chrome, and found that the Update buttons work there.

    TEC, please look into this!

    Hey !
Yes, I have the same problem – after the update, the “update” button does not work in FireFox. Works fine in IE and Chrome. Please look into this bug 🙂 Thank you

    Hi @nenaverein @twojareklama @shawnw61 @mtruitt @webwiese

Apologies for the inconvenience. We were able to pinpoint that specific browser shows Javascript Errors within the Venue Section, in the admin dashboard, not allowing to update the Events.

Our engineers are working on the solution, though there are some complexities, and it will take some time to craft and validate before release. I have added your case to our internal ticket. While we don’t have an ETA at the moment, you’ll get notified once there is an update and fix.

For now, as a workaround, you could do the following:

    1. Use Chrome Browser only for Admin Dashboard
    2. Or, Downgrade to version 6.0.2 or 6.0.3 Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions

    Best,
    Darian

Actually, you can get it to work in FF or Safari if you remove the Venue make whatever updates you need. Update the event then put the venue back in last.

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news,

Our developers have just released the Events Calendar version 6.0.7, which addresses the issue of events which have venues assigned not being able to be updated successfully on some browsers.

Please update your Events Calendar plugin to include that and other improvements over your website.

    Best regards,
