 * Hi Camu,
 * I want to update the browscap database used by Slimstat to get more up to date
   information, as currently newer devices such as the Nokia Lumia phone are registering
   as undefined.
 * According to the browscap download page ([http://tempdownloads.browserscap.com](http://tempdownloads.browserscap.com)),
   the files were last updated on March 12th 2013 so they will hopefully include
   that, however I’m not sure how to turn the .ini file on that page into the cache.
   php file used in Slimstat.
 * Please can you let me know how to do this?
 * Thanks,
    Sarah

 * Hi Sarah,
 * The version shipped with WP SlimStat 3.1 is already the most recent available.
   As for the INI file, there’s currently no “official” conversion tool available
   to the public. We base our algorithm on PHP Browscap:
 * [https://github.com/GaretJax/phpbrowscap](https://github.com/GaretJax/phpbrowscap)
 * But we’ve optimized its output, to reduce its impact on memory usage and make
   it scalable. If you want, send us your ini file and we will include it in the
   next release of WP SlimStat.
 * Cheers
    Camu

 * Hi Camu,
 * Ok, thanks for letting me know. I am also running Google Analytics, so I can
   get the statistics from newer devices from that – we are interested in percentages
   rather than exact numbers, so that will be fine in terms of the total visits
   not necessarily matching up between Slimstat and GA (as per your FAQs).
 * Thank you again for your speedy response.
