Updating a WordPress Based site without access to the necessary wordpress accoun

    Hi,

I am working as a consultant for a few small businesses in my town. One of the businesses is trying to update their site, which is hosted through GoDaddy.com and edited via the WordPress app.

Unfortunately, the business is no longer on speaking terms with their old Webmaster and cannot retrieve their WordPress account information. So I’ve been trying to update the site by avoiding WordPress and updating the index (i.e. the HTML code) files using GoDaddy’s FTP service.

Is this at all possible and can someone walk me through the steps needed, or do I need to somehow retrieve the WordPress account to be able to update the site?

The site I am editing is — http://dosalon.com/

    Many thanks
