I am having this exact same problem. Changing my locale to “” from “us_US” made it refresh once, but it seems to be cacheing the location data after that. At first I had it set to “us_US” and it was working. Then I made some changes, it didn’t update. I followed the note in the WP-Spreadplugin notes that said to remove my locale info from the shortcode on my WordPress page. Then it refreshed once and I haven’t been able to get it to refresh again because I change it back to “us_US” and it still pulls up the old inventory before I made the first set of changes. So it is cacheing it somewhere… I just don’t know where… Suggestions?

I have fixed my own problem. Here’s the solution:

Here’s my shortcode (with api and secret removed, obviously):
    [spreadplugin shop_id="#####" shop_limit="20" shop_locale="" shop_api="*api*" shop_secret="*secret*" shop_category="" shop_source="com" shop_social="1"]
    And here’s the fix:
    [spreadplugin shop_id="#####" shop_limit="4" shop_locale="" shop_api="*api*" shop_secret="*secret*" shop_category="" shop_source="com" shop_social="1"]

IE: Change the “shop_limit=” in your shortcode and it will re-cache the data that it displays. Would also be a good idea to optimize this setting for your own page layout anyway.

    Hi,

the spreadplugin don’t uses any cache. Only spreadshirt uses chaching and your browser does. Because of the spreadshirt cache changes on articles may display after approx. 8 hours. That’s horrible but it’s not a plugins’ fault.

Changing the display limit of the articles, won’t cause the spreadshirt cache to refresh – just your browser.

Your articles seem to be updated now.

    Hope this helps.

So: The caching does seem to be on Spreadshirt’s end of things, not in the plugin or WordPress. The refresh time seems to be anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour so far. While that’s not perfect, it is confusing that you can view the shop directly at yourshop.spreadshirt.com and it will differ from what the API will give you. Though also not your problem with this plugin. πŸ™‚

Secondly: The plugin seems to be displaying some articles twice, though only those articles that are in a category on Spreadshirt. I have some articles that aren’t in a category and aren’t duplicated, but every piece of clothing that I’ve put into a category is now shown twice on my WP plugin. Suggestions?

Yes, yourshop.spreadshirt.com and the api are different, so the api isn’t synchronised at the same time.

To your second “problem” I can’t see twice articles?!?

    digitalgoth

    (@digitalgoth)

It isn’t displaying them right next to each other, it is displaying first all articles, then all articles in the next category, then all articles in the next category, etc etc. I only have 32 different articles in my shop, yet the plugin is displaying 63 (one article isn’t in a category, so it is only displayed once).

Do a search for any article name on that page and you will see it more than once.

Also: Changing the “shop_limit” *does* cause the plugin to refresh the shop. I tested this by making two pages of the same shop, updating one item in the shop, then updating the “shop_limit” on one page but not the other. One page then showed the updated item, the other page did not.
