I run a blog as part of my home/small-business technology Website and in some cases I have revised material to cater for technological changes.
I sometimes update a post to fix up a typo or minor error, remove an event-specific disclaimer or add in an illustration, but there are times when I update a post in a major way such as adding newer information to the post or “refreshing” a post to cater for a newer environment.
What I want to do is append the major update to the blog’s RSS feed (which is sent to Feedburner) whenever I do the major update but not whenever I do a minor update. Do I have to re-publish the post to ensure the major update appears on the RSS feed or is there a simplar way of going about this with updates?
This could also be looked into as a feature addition for a “point update” for WordPress.
