• I updated the version of WordPress yesterday which now includes Toast SEO. I also have Smallbiz theme which i added when I first installed wordpress and built my site. Up until yesterday, my website was live. All working beautifully. Now, type in the website name and it goes to index php which then shows the error message that the website isnt loading as it is being redirected too many times. if I type in the links for the individual pages it works fine. Smallbiz say its a problem with my wordpress install.

  • Could the reason be folder permissions?

@hbayliss, try disabling all your plugins and switch to the TwentyEleven theme. Does the problem still happen? If so then it could be as CrouchingBruin suggested.

If the problem goes away when you are running a default install of TwentyEleven and no plugins, then switch to your Smallbiz theme and see if it happens; if not, then reactivate your plugins one by one, testing after each to see where the problem is. That can help you isolate the issue and you could then contact the developer of the respective theme or plugin for guidance (search here on the forums for the name of the plugin – the box at the top right of this screen – that will take you to their dedicated forum page).
