Updates do not show up

When I make updates to a countdown, in this case, changing the date, the changes are not reflected in the page where the countdown appears.

Steps to replicate:
1) Create a countdown and use the shortcode to add it to a page
2) Publish the page
3) Change the date on the countdown to a day one week later
4) Click Update
5) Refresh the published page
6) The countdown is still the same and does not show the new date

The only work-around I have found is to create a completely new countdown and replace it in the page.
