    I dutifully updated my wordpress plugins and themes and now my website will not load and I get the following message:

    Warning: require_once(ThemeCompat.class.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/25/9272825/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/thecartpress/modules/manage_modules.php on line 52

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘ThemeCompat.class.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_3/lib/php’) in /home/content/25/9272825/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/thecartpress/modules/manage_modules.php on line 52

    Please help me restore my website!!

  • FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & rename the wp-content/plugins/thecartpress folder. Then re-upload the plugin.

    Rename what to what? Sorry, this stuff is all greek to me.

    Rename it to thecartpres-old.

    Doesn’t work. The file it’s attempting to include isn’t included in WP 3.6.1. In wp-content/plugins/thecartpress/modules/manage_modules.php:

    //require_once( 'ThemeCompat.class.php' );

    Fixed… Playing around to see if it’s broken.

    Esmi: I did what you said and…112502 was right. It doesn’t work.
    Not sure what to do.

    Try checking your site’s error logs messages. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

    Okay. I’ve restored my files to the previous versions before the update. Now the website is working again.
    Thanks for getting me on track with the FTP suggestion esmi.

    Glad I could help 🙂
