# updates “batting order”?

 * Is there a right versus wrong order to update apps/scripts in WP? For example,
   my WordPress dashboard has updates ready for the full WP platform (to version
   5.3), my theme, and half of my plugins. Should I update the WP first, then the
   theme, then the plugins? or, reverse-order? or, does the order of updates even
   matter?

 * There’s no right or wrong way, but personally I prefer plugins > themes > core
   WordPress, and especially all in the same go (don’t save anything for later).
