• I’ve seen several other people post this issue, with no resolution. I’ve got at least a dozen sites that constantly show a 1 badge on updates but there are no updates. This happens regardless of plugins, theme, etc. They are using different themes and plugins. I know there are a lot of people with this issue because they always post on the identical threads to say they have the same issue and are told to post their own thread. So here I am… another user with this issue… posting my own thread.

Thanks in advance for any possible help.

    Hi,

I’ve only experienced this once before my self, but I believe the reasoning is the same across the board.

Many themes bundle other plugins and similar that check for updates outside the plugin repository. If there’s an update available, the update count will be increased and show the little badge with the numbers in it, but since they’re not in the plugins directory WordPress can’t find a relation for them, and thus can’t actually make them available for updating.

This is a great indicator that you have an outdated piece of premium content somewhere though, and hopefully there’s a new version of your premium theme or plugin that comes with the new version of whatever they have bundled with them as well.
